Frequently Asked Questions
Arborist wood-chip mulch — a mix of chipped wood and leaf from our tree work across Gippsland. It's the mulch horticulturists rate for gardens: it breaks down slowly, feeds the soil, holds moisture and suppresses weeds without the dyes or additives of bagged products.
For garden beds, aim for a 75–100mm layer: as a guide, one cubic metre covers roughly 10–13 square metres at that depth. Measure your beds, or tell us the rough dimensions and we'll do the maths and recommend a load size.
We deliver across the Latrobe Valley and wider Gippsland by the truckload. We tip where access allows — driveway, nature strip or straight onto the garden area if the truck can reach it safely.
For established beds, trees and paths it's excellent. Keep any fresh mulch a hand-width clear of plant stems and trunks, and if you're mulching vegetable beds, let it age first or use it on paths between beds. We'll happily advise for your situation.
Because it's a by-product of our tree work rather than a manufactured product with double handling. Same material class the yards sell at a premium — straight from the chipper to your garden, with the savings passed on.
Clean mulch, by the cubic metre
Our mulch is $25 plus GST per cubic metre, with delivery charged by distance. What makes it worth having is that it's clean — anything that would grow as a weed (palms, yuccas, ivy, dirty soil) is separated out before mulching, so the pile is just eucalypts, wattles, blackwoods and deciduous off our own tree work. We keep a separate pine bark pile too, so you can ask for eucalyptus mulch or pine bark. Tell us where you are and roughly how much you need for a delivered price.
